Convert::ToUInt16 Method (UInt64)

 

Converts the value of the specified 64-bit unsigned integer to an equivalent 16-bit unsigned integer.

This API is not CLS-compliant.

Parameters

value
Type: System::UInt64

The 64-bit unsigned integer to convert.

Return Value

Type: System::UInt16

A 16-bit unsigned integer that is equivalent to value.

Exception Condition
OverflowException

value is greater than UInt16::MaxValue.

The following example attempts to convert each element in an array of unsigned long integers to an unsigned 16-bit integer.
