TypeDescriptor::GetReflectionType Method (Object^)

 

Returns a Type that can be used to perform reflection, given an object.

Namespace:   System.ComponentModel
Assembly:  System (in System.dll)

	Object^ instance
)

Parameters

instance
Type: System::Object^

An instance of the target component.

Return Value

Type: System::Type^

A Type for the specified object.

Exception Condition
ArgumentNullException

instance is null.

The GetReflectionType method is a low-level version of the GetTypeDescriptor method. GetReflectionType is typically used to perform standard reflection against an object when no custom type descriptor can be located for it.
