IStorageFolder.GetFileAsync method

Gets the specified file from the current folder.

Syntax


IAsyncOperation<StorageFile> GetFileAsync(
  string name
)

Parameters

name

Type: System.String [.NET] | Platform::String [C++]

The name (or path relative to the current folder) of the file to retrieve.

Return value

Type: IAsyncOperation<StorageFile>

When this method completes successfully, it returns a StorageFile that represents the file.

Remarks

If you simply want to get a file in your app, see the GetFileAsync method of the StorageFolder class.
