Admin.GetCompatibilityMode method

Obsolete in Project Server 2013.

Namespace:  WebSvcAdmin
Assembly:  ProjectServerServices (in ProjectServerServices.dll)

[SoapDocumentMethodAttribute("http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/project/server/webservices/Admin/GetCompatibilityMode", RequestNamespace = "http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/project/server/webservices/Admin/",
	ResponseNamespace = "http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/project/server/webservices/Admin/",
	Use = SoapBindingUse.Literal, ParameterStyle = SoapParameterStyle.Wrapped)]
public int GetCompatibilityMode()

Return value

Type: System.Int32

In Project Server 2010, reads the Project Server compatibility mode for Project Professional. The compatibility mode can be one of the Admin.CompatibilityModes constants. The value is 0 if Project Server 2010 is running in native mode, which can connect only with Project Professional 2010.

When Project Server 2007 is upgraded to Project Server 2010, the compatibility mode value is ProjectServer2007 by default. This enables Project Professional 2007 to connect to Project Server 2010.

For Project Server 2010, the Additional Server Settings page in Project Web App (http://ServerName/ProjectServerName/_layouts/pwa/Admin/ServerConfig.aspx) includes the compatibility mode setting. Project Server 2013 does not have a compatibility mode setting.
