Parameters

returnValue

An object that represents a return value for the completed database operation.

outputParameters

An IDictionary of name/value pairs of parameter objects.

exception

An Exception that wraps any internal exceptions thrown during the method call.

The returnValue parameter can be any object that is returned by a call to the business object data method. The outputParameters parameter is an IDictionary collection of name/value pairs that match those in the method signature and are passed by reference. The exception parameter is an Exception exception that wraps any exceptions that are thrown by the method that is called by the ObjectDataSource control during a data operation. If the exception is not handled by an OnSelected, OnUpdated, OnInserted, or OnDeleted method, it is thrown by the ObjectDataSource control after the data operation returns.
