DataSourceConverter::CanConvertFrom Method (ITypeDescriptorContext, Type)
Visual Studio 2010
Gets a value indicating whether the converter can convert an object of the specified source type to the native type of the converter.
Assembly: System.Design (in System.Design.dll)
public: virtual bool CanConvertFrom( ITypeDescriptorContext^ context, Type^ sourceType ) override
Parameters
- context
- Type: System.ComponentModel::ITypeDescriptorContext
An ITypeDescriptorContext that can be used to gain additional context information.
- sourceType
- Type: System::Type
A Type that represents the type you want to convert from.
Return Value
Type: System::Booleantrue if the converter can perform the conversion; otherwise, false.
As implemented in this class, this method always returns false.
Notes to Inheritors
Override this method to provide your own conversion requirements.
The context can be used to extract additional information about the environment this converter is being invoked from. This may be nullptr, so you should always check. Also, properties on the context object may also return nullptr.
