SelectionGlyph Class

Note: This API is now obsolete.

Provides methods and properties for all glyph classes that an ActivityDesigner displays when it is selected on the workflow design surface.

Namespace:  System.Workflow.ComponentModel.Design
Assembly:  System.Workflow.ComponentModel (in System.Workflow.ComponentModel.dll)

[ObsoleteAttribute("The System.Workflow.* types are deprecated. Instead, please use the new types from System.Activities.*")]
public abstract class SelectionGlyph : DesignerGlyph

The SelectionGlyph type exposes the following members.

Protected methodSelectionGlyphWhen implemented in a derived class, initializes a new instance of the SelectionGlyph class.

Public propertyCanBeActivatedGets a value indicating whether the DesignerGlyph can gain focus on the ActivityDesigner with which it is associated. (Inherited from DesignerGlyph.)
Public propertyIsPrimarySelectionWhen overridden in a derived class, gets a value indicating whether the selection glyph is the primary of all selected glyphs on the design surface.
Public propertyPriorityGets the view priority of the glyph on the activity designer. (Overrides DesignerGlyph.Priority.)

Public methodEquals(Object)Determines whether the specified object is equal to the current object. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected methodFinalizeAllows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodGetBoundsReturns the bounds for the selection glyph on the specified ActivityDesigner. (Overrides DesignerGlyph.GetBounds(ActivityDesigner, Boolean).)
Public methodGetGrabHandlesReturns an array of rectangles that represents the selected glyph's grab handles.
Public methodGetHashCodeServes as the default hash function. (Inherited from Object.)
Public methodGetTypeGets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected methodMemberwiseCloneCreates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected methodOnActivateIndicates to the glyph that an action has been performed which has activated the glyph. (Inherited from DesignerGlyph.)
Protected methodOnPaintPerforms any tasks required to render the glyph on the activity designer surface. (Overrides DesignerGlyph.OnPaint(Graphics, Boolean, AmbientTheme, ActivityDesigner).)
Public methodToStringReturns a string that represents the current object. (Inherited from Object.)

This material discusses types and namespaces that are obsolete. For more information, see Deprecated Types in Windows Workflow Foundation 4.5.

Some glyphs that are displayed on an activity designer can be selected by the user while others cannot. When a user selects a glyph that can be selected, the glyph changes appearance on the activity design surface. The SelectionGlyph class is the base class for all glyph classes that change appearance when a user selects it on the activity design surface.

Notes to Inheritors

When you inherit from SelectionGlyph, you must override the following member: IsPrimarySelection.
