Converts the specified object to the specified destination type.

Parameters

context
ITypeDescriptorContext

An ITypeDescriptorContext that provides a format context, which can be used to extract additional information about the environment this type converter is being invoked from. This parameter or properties of this parameter can be null.

culture
CultureInfo

A CultureInfo that provides locale information.

value
Object

The object to convert, typically an index represented as an Int32.

destinationType
Type

The type to convert the object to, often a String.

Returns

An Object that represents the converted value.

Exceptions

The destinationType is null.

The specified value could not be converted to the specified destinationType.

Remarks

The default implementation of this method can only convert an index value represented as an Int32 to a String.

Override this method to provide your own conversion capabilities.

The context parameter can be used to extract additional information about the environment this type converter is being invoked from. This may be null, so you should always check for this return value. Also, properties on the context object may also return null.
