BindingOperations.GetBindingBase Method

Retrieves the BindingBase object that is set on the specified property.

Parameters

target
Type: System.Windows.DependencyObject

The object where dp is.

dp
Type: System.Windows.DependencyProperty

The binding target property from which to retrieve the BindingBase object.

Return Value

Type: System.Windows.Data.BindingBase
The BindingBase object that is set on the given property or a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) if no binding object has been set.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

The target and dp parameters cannot be a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The BindingBase class is the common base class for the Binding, PriorityBinding, and MultiBinding classes. You can use the GetBinding, GetPriorityBinding, and GetMultiBinding methods if you know in advance the type of binding that is set on the property.
