GridView.Columns Property

Gets the collection of GridViewColumn objects that is defined for this GridView.

 OneOrMoreGridViewColumns  One or more GridViewColumn elements. 

Property Value

The collection of columns in the GridView. The default value is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

This property lets you modify the columns that are defined for a GridView, by using methods that are inherited from the Collection class, such as the Add, Insert, and Remove methods.

The following example shows how to add a GridViewColumn to the columns in a GridView by using the Add method on the Columns property. For the complete sample, see ListView with a GridView View.

GridViewColumn gvc3 = new GridViewColumn();
gvc3.DisplayMemberBinding = new Binding("EmployeeNumber");
gvc3.Header = "Employee No.";
gvc3.Width = 100;
