Negates a specified BigInteger value.
Assembly: System.Numerics (in System.Numerics.dll)
Negation obtains the additive inverse of a number. The additive inverse of a number is a number that produces a value of zero when it is added to the original number.
The method is implemented for languages that do not support custom operators. Its behavior is identical to negation using the unary negation operator. In addition, the method is a useful substitute for the negation operator when instantiating a BigInteger variable, as shown in the following example.
The following example illustrates three ways to negate the value of a BigInteger object.
Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see .NET Framework System Requirements.
