TypeDescriptor::GetFullComponentName Method

Returns the fully qualified name of the component.

Parameters

component
Type: System::Object

The Component to find the name for.

Return Value

Type: System::String
The fully qualified name of the specified component, or nullptr if the component has no name.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

component is nullptr.

In many cases, the GetFullComponentName method will return the same value as the GetComponentName method. However, if the component resides in a nested container or has other nested semantics, it may return a different fully qualified name.
