Geometry.GetFlattenedPathGeometry Method ()

Gets a PathGeometry that is an polygonal approximation of this Geometry object.

Namespace: System.Windows.Media
Assembly: PresentationCore (in presentationcore.dll)

public PathGeometry GetFlattenedPathGeometry ()
public PathGeometry GetFlattenedPathGeometry ()
public function GetFlattenedPathGeometry () : PathGeometry
You cannot use methods in XAML.

Return Value

The polygonal approximation of this Geometry.

This method uses the default tolerance factor (described by the StandardFlatteningTolerance property) when processing this geometry. To specify your own tolerance factor, use the GetFlattenedPathGeometry method.

Some Geometry methods (such as GetFlattenedPathGeometry) produce or use a polygonal approximation of the geometry. The tolerance factor specifies the maximum distance between points in this polygonal approximation. Smaller tolerance values produce better approximations, but require more processing than an approximation with a large tolerance factor.
