HttpClientExtensions.PutAsXmlAsync<T> Method (HttpClient, Uri, T)

Sends a PUT request as an asynchronous operation to the specified URI with the given value serialized as XML.

Type Parameters

T

The type of value.

Parameters

client
Type: HttpClient
The client used to make the request.
requestUri
Type: System.Uri
The URI the request is sent to.
value
Type: T
The value that will be placed in the request's entity body.

Return Value

Type: System.Threading.Tasks.Task<HttpResponseMessage>
A task object representing the asynchronous operation.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type HttpClient. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. This method uses the default instance of XmlMediaTypeFormatter.
