How to: Turn Off Snaplines

[This documentation is for preview only, and is subject to change in later releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]

Snaplines are a convenient way to align and position controls on a design surface. However, when you are creating an application that has many controls, there might be times you will want to disable snaplines to make positioning controls on the design surface easier. This topic explains how to disable snaplines when you are using the WPF Designer for Visual Studio.

To turn off snaplines

  • While dragging a control in the WPF Designer, press and hold down the ALT key. Snaplines will be temporarily disabled and will no longer appear.
