Cast the value of this XElement to a String.

This API is not CLS-compliant.

Namespace:  System.Xml.Linq
Assembly:  System.Xml.Linq (in System.Xml.Linq.dll)

public static explicit operator string (
	XElement element
)

Parameters

element
Type: System.Xml.Linq.XElement
The XElement to cast to String.

Type: System.String
A String that contains the content of this XElement.

If the XElement has children, the concatenated string value of all of the element's text and descendant's text is returned.
