XmlReader.Item Property (Int32)

When overridden in a derived class, gets the value of the attribute with the specified index.

The index of the attribute.

Property Value

The value of the specified attribute.

This property does not move the reader.

The following example displays all attributes on the current node.

// Display all attributes.
if (reader.HasAttributes) {
  Console.WriteLine("Attributes of <" + reader.Name + ">");
  for (int i = 0; i < reader.AttributeCount; i++) {
    Console.WriteLine("  {0}", reader[i]);
  }
  // Move the reader back to the element node.
  reader.MoveToElement();
