Demonstrates the use of basic data types and aggregated types in a SOAP server.

The SOAPDataTypes sample transmits the following types through the ATL Server SOAP implementation:

  • Basic types

  • Structures

  • Fixed-size and dynamic-size arrays, both single dimensional and multidimensional

  • Arrays of structures

  • Embedded structures

  • Embedded arrays

Building and Running the Sample

To build and run this sample

  1. Open the solution file, SOAPDataTypes.sln, in the Visual Studio development environment.

  2. Build the solution. This will deploy the XML Web service to IIS.

  3. Run the SoapDataTypesClient executable file.

The SoapDataTypesClient executable file displays the results of each SOAP data type as it is passed from the client to the server and back.
