Parameter.Parameter(String) Constructor

Initializes a new instance of the Parameter class, using the specified name.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public:
Parameter (
	String^ name
)
public Parameter (
	String name
)
public function Parameter (
	name : String
)
Not applicable.

Parameters

name

The name of the parameter.

A Parameter object created with the Parameter(String) constructor is initialized with the specified name and default values for its other properties. The Type property is initialized to TypeCode.Object, the Direction property is initialized to Input, and the DefaultValue property is initialized to a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The following code example demonstrates how to call the Parameter(String) constructor from a class that extends the Parameter class to initialize the Name property of the instance. This code example is part of a larger example provided for the Parameter class overview.

No code example is currently available or this language may not be supported.
// The StaticParameter(string, object) constructor
// initializes the DataValue property and calls the
// Parameter(string) constructor to initialize the Name property.
public StaticParameter(String name, Object value)
{
    super(name);
    set_DataValue(value);
} //StaticParameter
