NodeType Property

XmlReader.NodeType Property

When overridden in a derived class, gets the type of the current node.

Assembly:  System.Xml (in System.Xml.dll)

Property Value

Type: System.Xml.XmlNodeType
One of the XmlNodeType values representing the type of the current node.

The following example reads an XML file and displays each of the nodes.


reader.MoveToContent()
' Parse the file and display each of the nodes.

    Case XmlNodeType.Element
      Console.Write("<{0}>", reader.Name)
    Case XmlNodeType.Text
