StateMachineWorkflowActivity.CurrentStateName Property

Gets the name of the currently executing StateActivity.

Namespace:  System.Workflow.Activities
Assembly:  System.Workflow.Activities (in System.Workflow.Activities.dll)

public string CurrentStateName { get; }

Property Value

Type: System.String
The name of the current StateActivity.

The CurrentStateName property only returns the name of the current state when accessed from within the workflow, for example, from a code handler in a CodeActivity activity. The property does not work from host code because the host only has access to a copy of the workflow definition, and never to the live instance tree.

For more information about how to determine the current state from the host, see the CurrentStateName property of the StateMachineWorkflowInstance class.
