UIElement.ManipulationCompleted Event

[ This article is for Windows Phone 8 developers. If you’re developing for Windows 10, see the latest documentation. ]

Occurs when a manipulation and inertia on the UIElement is complete.

Namespace:  System.Windows
Assembly:  System.Windows (in System.Windows.dll)
XMLNS for XAML: Not mapped to an xmlns.

public event EventHandler<ManipulationCompletedEventArgs> ManipulationCompleted
<uiElement ManipulationCompleted="eventHandler"/>

In Windows Phone 8, if you try to handle the ManipulationCompleted event for the LongListSelector, Panorama, or Pivot controls using the following code, the code will never run. In Windows Phone OS 7.1, this code does run.

myPivot.ManipulationCompleted += (s, e) =>

In Windows Phone 8, LongListSelector, Panorama, and Pivot are part of the framework. The ManipulationCompleted event is marked as handled in Windows Phone 8 to make the UI more responsive.

If you need to handle the ManipulationCompleted event in Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone OS 7.1, use the AddHandler method. For example:

    new EventHandler<ManipulationCompletedEventArgs>
    (MyPivot_ManipulationCompleted), true);
