ValueSerializer.ConvertFromString Method

Converts a String to an instance of the type that the implementation of ValueSerializer supports.

You cannot use methods in XAML.

Parameters

value
Type: System.String

The string to convert.

context
Type: System.Windows.Markup.IValueSerializerContext

Context information that is used for conversion.

Return Value

Type: System.Object
A new instance of the type that the implementation of ValueSerializer supports based on the supplied value.

ExceptionCondition
NotSupportedException

value cannot be converted.

The base implementation always calls GetConvertFromException.

The base implementation of GetConvertFromException throws NotSupportedException.
