VisualStyleElement.TaskbarClock.Time Class

Provides a VisualStyleElement for the background of the taskbar clock. This class cannot be inherited.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms.VisualStyles
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

public static class Time

Gets a visual style element that represents the background of the taskbar clock.

The Normal property of the VisualStyleElement.TaskbarClock.Time class returns a VisualStyleElement that represents the background of the taskbar clock.

Visual styles are supported only on these platforms.

The following code example demonstrates how to create a VisualStyleRenderer with the VisualStyleElement returned by the Normal property. To run this example, paste it into a Windows Form. Handle the form’s Paint event and call the DrawVisualStyleElementTaskbarClockTime1 method from the Paint event-handling method, passing e as PaintEventArgs.

public void DrawVisualStyleElementTaskbarClockTime1(PaintEventArgs e)
    if (VisualStyleRenderer.IsElementDefined(
        VisualStyleRenderer renderer =
             new VisualStyleRenderer(VisualStyleElement.TaskbarClock.Time.Normal);
        Rectangle rectangle1 = new Rectangle(10, 50, 50, 50);
        renderer.DrawBackground(e.Graphics, rectangle1);
             this.Font, Brushes.Black, new Point(10, 10));
        e.Graphics.DrawString("This element is not defined in the current visual style.",
             this.Font, Brushes.Black, new Point(10, 10));
