ToolStripItem.OnParentEnabledChanged Method (EventArgs)

Raises the EnabledChanged event when the Enabled property value of the item's container changes.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

protected internal virtual void OnParentEnabledChanged(
	EventArgs e

Type: System.EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnParentEnabledChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnParentEnabledChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnParentEnabledChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
