ToolBar::OnButtonDropDown Method (ToolBarButtonClickEventArgs^)

Raises the ButtonDropDown event.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnButtonDropDown(
	ToolBarButtonClickEventArgs^ e
)

Parameters

e
Type: System.Windows.Forms::ToolBarButtonClickEventArgs^

A ToolBarButtonClickEventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnButtonDropDown method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnButtonDropDown in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnButtonDropDown method so that registered delegates receive the event.
