MaskFormat Enumeration

Defines how to format the text inside of a MaskedTextBox.

Member nameDescription
IncludePromptReturn text input by the user as well as any instances of the prompt character.
IncludeLiteralsReturn text input by the user as well as any literal characters defined in the mask.
IncludePromptAndLiteralsReturn text input by the user as well as any literal characters defined in the mask and any instances of the prompt character.
ExcludePromptAndLiteralsReturn only text input by the user.

This enumeration is used by CutCopyMaskFormat and TextMaskFormat to control how text is returned—in the first case, by performing a cut and copy operation, and in the second place, by using the Text property.
