Form.OnActivated Method

Raises the Activated event.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

'Declaration
Protected Overridable Sub OnActivated ( _
	e As EventArgs _
)

Parameters

e
Type: System.EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnActivated method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. Overriding this method is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnActivated in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnActivated method so that registered delegates receive the event.
