ComponentEditorForm::OnHelpRequested Method (HelpEventArgs^)

Raises the HelpRequested event.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms.Design
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnHelpRequested(
	HelpEventArgs^ e
) override

Parameters

e
Type: System.Windows.Forms::HelpEventArgs^

A HelpEventArgs that contains the event data.

The OnHelpRequested method shows the Help page that is associated with the component editor page, if there is one.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnHelpRequested method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnHelpRequested in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s OnHelpRequested method so that registered delegates receive the event.
