DataGridViewButtonCell::OnKeyDown Method (KeyEventArgs^, Int32)

Called when a character key is pressed while the focus is on the cell.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnKeyDown(
	KeyEventArgs^ e,
	int rowIndex
) override

Parameters

e
Type: System.Windows.Forms::KeyEventArgs^

A KeyEventArgs that contains the event data.

rowIndex
Type: System::Int32

The row index of the current cell, or -1 if the cell is not owned by a row.

When activated by the SPACE key, this method updates the cell's user interface (UI).

This method is similar to the Control::OnKeyDown method. It is called in the same circumstances in which a Control::KeyDown event is raised, but it does not actually raise the event.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnKeyDown in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnKeyDown method so that registered delegates receive the event.
