Event Type

Examples

The following code example demonstrates the use of this member. In the example, an event handler reports on the occurrence of the RowDefaultCellStyleChanged event. This report helps you to learn when the event occurs and can assist you in debugging. To report on multiple events or on events that occur frequently, consider replacing MessageBox.Show with Console.WriteLine or appending the message to a multiline TextBox.

To run the example code, paste it into a project that contains an instance of type DataGridView named DataGridView1. Then ensure that the event handler is associated with the RowDefaultCellStyleChanged event.

private void DataGridView1_RowDefaultCellStyleChanged(Object sender, DataGridViewRowEventArgs e) {

System.Text.StringBuilder messageBoxCS = new System.Text.StringBuilder();
messageBoxCS.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "Row", e.Row );
messageBoxCS.AppendLine();
MessageBox.Show(messageBoxCS.ToString(), "RowDefaultCellStyleChanged Event" );
}
Private Sub DataGridView1_RowDefaultCellStyleChanged(sender as Object, e as DataGridViewRowEventArgs) _
     Handles DataGridView1.RowDefaultCellStyleChanged

    Dim messageBoxVB as New System.Text.StringBuilder()
    messageBoxVB.AppendFormat("{0} = {1}", "Row", e.Row)
    messageBoxVB.AppendLine()
    MessageBox.Show(messageBoxVB.ToString(),"RowDefaultCellStyleChanged Event")

End Sub

Remarks

This event occurs when any property of the DataGridViewCellStyle returned by the DefaultCellStyle property for a row is set to a new value or when the DefaultCellStyle property for a row is set to a new DataGridViewCellStyle with at least one property value different than the previous cell style object.
