The index of the row that is changing state.

A DataGridViewRowStateChangedEventArgs that contains the event data.

Exception typeCondition

The row changed from read-only to read/write, enabling the current cell to enter edit mode, but the EditType property of the current cell does not indicate a class that derives from Control and implements IDataGridViewEditingControl.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnRowStateChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnRowStateChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRowStateChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
