DataGridView::OnColumnStateChanged Method (DataGridViewColumnStateChangedEventArgs^)
Raises the ColumnStateChanged event.
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
protected: virtual void OnColumnStateChanged( DataGridViewColumnStateChangedEventArgs^ e )
Parameters
- e
-
Type:
System.Windows.Forms::DataGridViewColumnStateChangedEventArgs^
A DataGridViewColumnStateChangedEventArgs that contains the event data.
| Exception | Condition |
|---|---|
| InvalidCastException | The column changed from read-only to read/write, enabling the current cell to enter edit mode, but the EditType property of the current cell does not indicate a class that derives from Control and implements IDataGridViewEditingControl. |
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see NIB: Raising an Event.
The OnColumnStateChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors:
When overriding OnColumnStateChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnColumnStateChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
