Control.OnTabIndexChanged(EventArgs) Method

Definition

Raises the TabIndexChanged event.

protected:
 virtual void OnTabIndexChanged(EventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnTabIndexChanged (EventArgs e);
abstract member OnTabIndexChanged : EventArgs -> unit
override this.OnTabIndexChanged : EventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnTabIndexChanged (e As EventArgs)

Parameters

e
EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Remarks

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnTabIndexChanged method also enables derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnTabIndexChanged(EventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnTabIndexChanged(EventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
