Control.OnLayout Method

Raises the Layout event.

[Visual Basic]
Protected Overridable Sub OnLayout( _
   ByVal levent As LayoutEventArgs _
protected virtual void OnLayout(
 LayoutEventArgs levent
protected: virtual void OnLayout(
 LayoutEventArgs* levent
protected function OnLayout(
   levent : LayoutEventArgs

A LayoutEventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnLayout method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:  When overriding OnLayout in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnLayout method so that registered delegates receive the event and for normal docking and anchoring functions to work. Derived classes should override this method to do any custom layout logic.
