Control.OnInvalidated Method (InvalidateEventArgs)

Raises the Invalidated event.

Namespace:   System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

abstract OnInvalidated :
        e:InvalidateEventArgs -> unit
override OnInvalidated :
        e:InvalidateEventArgs -> unit

Type: System.Windows.Forms.InvalidateEventArgs

An InvalidateEventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnInvalidated method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnInvalidated in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnInvalidated method so that registered delegates receive the event.
