Control.OnInvalidated Method

Raises the Invalidated event.

[Visual Basic]
Protected Overridable Sub OnInvalidated( _
   ByVal e As InvalidateEventArgs _
protected virtual void OnInvalidated(
 InvalidateEventArgs e
protected: virtual void OnInvalidated(
 InvalidateEventArgs* e
protected function OnInvalidated(
   e : InvalidateEventArgs

An InvalidateEventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnInvalidated method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:  When overriding OnInvalidated in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnInvalidated method so that registered delegates receive the event.
