Control.OnHelpRequested Method
.NET Framework 1.1
Raises the HelpRequested event.
[Visual Basic] Protected Overridable Sub OnHelpRequested( _ ByVal hevent As HelpEventArgs _ ) [C#] protected virtual void OnHelpRequested( HelpEventArgs hevent ); [C++] protected: virtual void OnHelpRequested( HelpEventArgs* hevent ); [JScript] protected function OnHelpRequested( hevent : HelpEventArgs );
Parameters
- hevent
- A HelpEventArgs that contains the event data.
Remarks
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.
The OnHelpRequested method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors: When overriding OnHelpRequested in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnHelpRequested method so that registered delegates receive the event.
