Control.OnHandleDestroyed Method

Raises the HandleDestroyed event.

[Visual Basic]
Protected Overridable Sub OnHandleDestroyed( _
   ByVal e As EventArgs _
protected virtual void OnHandleDestroyed(
 EventArgs e
protected: virtual void OnHandleDestroyed(
 EventArgs* e
protected function OnHandleDestroyed(
   e : EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnHandleDestroyed method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:  When overriding OnHandleDestroyed in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnHandleDestroyed method so that registered delegates receive the event.
