Control.OnDragOver Method

Raises the DragOver event.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

'Declaration
Protected Overridable Sub OnDragOver ( _
	drgevent As DragEventArgs _
)
'Usage
Dim drgevent As DragEventArgs

Me.OnDragOver(drgevent)

Parameters

drgevent
Type: System.Windows.Forms.DragEventArgs

A DragEventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnDragOver method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:

When overriding OnDragOver in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnDragOver method so that registered delegates receive the event.
