Binding.OnFormat Method

Raises the Format event.

[Visual Basic]
Protected Overridable Sub OnFormat( _
   ByVal cevent As ConvertEventArgs _
protected virtual void OnFormat(
 ConvertEventArgs cevent
protected: virtual void OnFormat(
 ConvertEventArgs* cevent
protected function OnFormat(
   cevent : ConvertEventArgs

A ConvertEventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnFormat method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors:  When overriding OnFormat in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnFormat method so that registered delegates receive the event.
