ToolTipService.GetPlacementTarget Method

Gets the value of the PlacementTarget attached property for an object.

public static UIElement GetPlacementTarget(
	DependencyObject element

Parameters

element
Type: System.Windows.DependencyObject
The object from which the property value is read.

Return Value

Type: System.Windows.UIElement
The object's PlacementTarget property value.

The following example shows how to get the value for the PlacementTarget attached property. The FindName method finds the object called ellipse2, which is an Ellipse.


UIElement target = new UIElement();
target = ToolTipService.GetPlacementTarget(
 (DependencyObject)FindName("ellipse2"));
