ProgressBar.IsIndeterminate Property

Gets or sets whether the ProgressBar shows actual values or generic, continuous progress feedback.

Namespace: System.Windows.Controls
Assembly: PresentationFramework (in presentationframework.dll)
XML Namespace:

public bool IsIndeterminate { get; set; }
/** @property */
public boolean get_IsIndeterminate ()

/** @property */
public void set_IsIndeterminate (boolean value)

public function get IsIndeterminate () : boolean

public function set IsIndeterminate (value : boolean)

<object IsIndeterminate="bool" .../>

Property Value

This value is false if the ProgressBar shows actual values. If the ProgressBar shows generic progress, the value is true. The default value is false.

The following example sets the IsIndeterminate property to false to create a ProgressBar that shows actual values.

ProgressBar progbar = new ProgressBar();
progbar.IsIndeterminate = false;
progbar.Orientation = Orientation.Horizontal;
progbar.Width = 150;
progbar.Height = 15;
Duration duration = new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(10));
DoubleAnimation doubleanimation = new DoubleAnimation(100.0, duration);
progbar.BeginAnimation(ProgressBar.ValueProperty, doubleanimation);
