DatePickerFormat Enumeration

 

Specifies date formats for a DatePicker.

Member nameDescription
Long

Specifies that the date should be displayed by using unabbreviated days of the week and month names. This value displays a string that is equal to the string that is returned by the DateTime.ToLongDateString method.

Short

Specifies that the date should be displayed by using abbreviated days of the week and month names. This value displays a string that is equal to the string that is returned by the DateTime.ToShortDateString method.

The following example creates a DatePicker that displays the date by using unabbreviated days of the week and month names.

DatePicker datePickerFor2009 = new DatePicker();
datePickerFor2009.SelectedDate = new DateTime(2009, 3, 23);
datePickerFor2009.DisplayDateStart = new DateTime(2009, 1, 1);
datePickerFor2009.DisplayDateEnd = new DateTime(2009, 12, 31);
datePickerFor2009.SelectedDateFormat = DatePickerFormat.Long;
datePickerFor2009.FirstDayOfWeek = DayOfWeek.Monday;
