Gets the value of the AutomationProperties.AutomationId attached property for the specified DependencyObject.

Type: System.String
The UI Automation identifier for the specified element.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
ArgumentException

element is invalid value.
ArgumentNullException

element is nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Remarks

If the AutomationId property is not set as a specific value, this method returns the same value as the Name property value.
