GenericWebPart::Subtitle Property

Gets a string that is concatenated with the Title property value to form a complete title for a control.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

public:
virtual property String^ Subtitle {
	String^ get () override;
}

Property Value

Type: System::String
A string that serves as a subtitle for the control. The default value is an empty string ("").

Implements

IWebPart::Subtitle

Use the Subtitle property optionally to return a standard subtitle string that will be appended to your custom GenericWebPart control's title.

This property overrides the base property so that you can access the property on the child control as if it were a true WebPart control.

If you implement the Subtitle property in a user control or custom control to provide a default value, the Web Parts control set automatically appends it to the value of the control's Title property at run time to create a complete title.
