DeclarativeCatalogPart.BackImageUrl Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

This inherited property is not used by the Web Parts control set when rendering a DeclarativeCatalogPart control. The property is overridden only for the purpose of preventing it from appearing in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 designer tools.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

[ThemeableAttribute(false)]
public:
virtual property String^ BackImageUrl {
	String^ get () override;
	void set (String^ value) override;
}
/** @property */
public String get_BackImageUrl ()

/** @property */
public void set_BackImageUrl (String value)

public override function get BackImageUrl () : String

public override function set BackImageUrl (value : String)

Property Value

A string that contains the URL to an image used as the background for a control.

The BackImageUrl property, as a member of the DeclarativeCatalogPart control, is not used anywhere within the Web Parts control set for rendering the control. Therefore, you should not use this property; setting it has no effect on rendering.

To prevent developers from using this property, code attributes are set on it to hide it in Visual Studio. When you work with a DeclarativeCatalogPart control in Visual Studio, the BackImageUrl property is not visible in the Properties pane or IntelliSense.

If you want to use this property, you need to create a custom class that inherits from the CatalogPart class. The custom class can either use the inherited BackImageUrl property as it is, or override it and change its behavior.

This property cannot be set by themes or style sheet themes. For more information, see ThemeableAttribute and ASP.NET Themes and Skins Overview.
