TreeView.OnTreeNodeCheckChanged Method

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Raises the TreeNodeCheckChanged event of the TreeView control.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnTreeNodeCheckChanged (
	TreeNodeEventArgs^ e
)
protected void OnTreeNodeCheckChanged (
	TreeNodeEventArgs e
)
protected function OnTreeNodeCheckChanged (
	e : TreeNodeEventArgs
)

Parameters

e

A TreeNodeEventArgs that contains event data.

The TreeNodeCheckChanged event is raised when a check box in the TreeView control changes state between posts to the server. This allows you to provide an event-handling method that performs a custom routine, such as updating a database or the displayed content, whenever this event occurs.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Consuming Events.

The OnTreeNodeCheckChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors When overriding the OnTreeNodeCheckChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the OnTreeNodeCheckChanged method for the base class so that registered delegates receive the event.
