Property Value
The name of the field to bind to the Target property of a TreeNode object to which the TreeNodeBinding object is applied. The default is an empty string (""), which indicates that the TargetField property is not set. When the TreeView control is bound to a data source, use the TargetField property to specify the field name to bind to the Target property of a TreeNode object. The Target property is used to specify the window or frame in which to display the Web content that is linked to a node when that node is clicked.
This binding relationship affects all TreeNode objects to which the TreeNodeBinding object is applied.
Note: |
|---|
| You can selectively override the TargetField property by setting the Target property of each node directly. |
Instead of using the TargetField property to bind the Target property of a TreeNode object to a field, you can set Target property to a fixed value by setting the Target property.
Note: |
|---|
| If the data source contains multiple fields, you must first set the Depth or DataMember property, or both properties in order to bind to the appropriate field. |
The value of this property is stored in view state.
