TemplatePagerField::OnPagerCommand Method

Raises the PagerCommand event.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web.Extensions (in System.Web.Extensions.dll)

protected:
virtual void OnPagerCommand(
	DataPagerCommandEventArgs^ e
)

ExceptionCondition
InvalidOperationException

There is no handler for the PagerCommand event.

The PagerCommand event is raised when a button is clicked in the TemplatePagerField object. This enables you to perform a custom routine whenever this event occurs.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnPagerCommand method also enables derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When you override OnPagerCommand in a derived class, call the base class’s OnPagerCommand method so that registered delegates receive the event.
